In Her Room

I put it off for as long as I possibly could (she slept so good in a crib!), but at 3 years old my daughter was ready for a big bed. Her nursery had a Shabby Chic/vintage feel so I wanted to incorporate that same feeling into her first big-girl room. She already had the Stanley Caroline dresser and doll cabinet; so I went with Stanley again for the bed. It's the full size Elizabeth bed.
I kept the curtains, which are the pink silk pottery barn panels but I added pale green/cream/pink tassels down the edge.
I'm not completely happy with the bedding but until I decide to redo her entire room, paint and all, I'm keeping it. The quilt and shams are from the Shabby Chic collection at Target. The duvet is the Elizabeth duvet from Pottery Barn Kids. The big euros were made by my mother in law. Since this picture, I removed the big green throw pillow to make the bed less crowded.
On the shelves behind the bed are vintage Vogue Ginny dolls from the 1950s as well as some antique dolls and doll accessories and a few bluebirds.
I also removed the dress up clothing from the side of the bed and put them in the playroom. It was a little crowded in there!
